I'm just back in the studio again after a very peaceful desert roadtrip with the family to western NV and the Sierras. A few new watercolors are fresh off the drawing board, and still more are in process. The model for this first painting was a rowdy luna moth very generously given to me by local artist Lynn Hanson when we visited her beautiful studio on the Venice Art Walk (thanks!).
Mixer, 2008, watercolor, 25 x 18 in.
This mantis was also very kindly donated to the arts by a local science teacher
(Thanks, Mr. A!)
Allure, 2008, watercolor, 7 x 10 in.
More new paintings are in process, and new images will be posted soon.
In other news, my work was featured in the Aug 2008 issue of Bootleg Magazine:
You can read the interview here, if you're truly curious...
Many thanks for looking in!
